Sd.Anh.116 was built in accordance with officially published regulations. In the front and center of the chassis, the structure was extended downwards to protect the running gear. The side lights have protective devices, and four small hooks are welded to the front beam to prevent jumping when used as a railway ramp. The locking mechanism of the girder has been redesigned. At the rear of the chassis, the two tow hooks originally mounted on the sides of the chassis were replaced by a central tow hook. There are two more hooks installed on the sides of the rear of the chassis, and the two axles are locked with the frame through a hinge device.
